Children's Clothing and Toys Get a Second Life at Chloe's Closet, A San Francisco Consignment Shop

December 6 2003--Chloe's Closet, a shop selling recycled children's clothing, toys, baby gear and maternity recently opened its doors in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Chloe's Closet provides a unique service for parents of young children. "Nearly all of our merchandise comes from the local community", states Chloe's Closet owner Molly Tyson, a mom of two. "Parents know how quickly children outgrow their clothing and toys. We provide families a place to exchange the things they no longer need for something they do."

The staff at Chloe's Closet selects carefully from the items brought in and prices them at 40-70% off retail. As items sell, the consignors receive a share of the sale either by check or in credit which can be applied to purchases in the shop. In addition to clothing, parents pick up strollers, cribs, swings and more. All in great condition and all at great prices.
